Evaluation of Subcritical Organic Rankine Cycle by Pure and Zeotropic of Binary and Ternary Refrigerants

The simulation configuration and process analysis of the Subcritical Organic Rankine Cycle (SORC) system are carried out for potential comparison between pure, binary, ternary zeotropic mixtures R1234ze(E), R1234yf, R134a as refrigerant working fluids based on applying flue gas a heat source with medium temperature. compression pressure was selected an optimized variable input parameter SORC lower limit boundary condition (1.4 MPa); to mitigate air ingress sub-atmospheric that led approach optimum net power output generated. Increasing has positive relationship superheated temperature mass enthalpy change in evaporation and, therefore, expansion process. In parallel, entropy changes cold water positively correlate exergy efficiency. So, R1234ze(E)/ R1234yf/R134a 68.35% R1234yf/ 69.29% lowest highest efficiency pressure; furthermore, SIC consequences increasing cost each component direct PPC required exchanger area condensation generating turbine. As result, maximum minimum value specific investment (SIC) achieves 5807402.18-22455670.61 $.kW-1 R1234yf 16.82-17.38% reduction, respectively. To sum up, payback period (PBP) 302 days.
